Art is my life, especially sculpture, and primarily stone, there's a deep feeling I get from it. Nature, wildlife, and the human figure are my preferred subjects, but I do what the stone wants or the piece won't work. I merely try to capture a gesture, a shape, a motion, or perhaps an emotion. Essence says more than too much detail.

I have been carving stone for fifteen years at my home in Montana and it always amazes me how much I learn from every piece I carve. The important thing is that I enjoy what I do and I hope it shows in my work. I've learned the sky's the limit, and it's a big sky!
